mad little me Aug. 15th, 2008 @ 12:28 am
hay all
people who meet me say im shy, but after a few days they say im weird, then once they know me for longer they typically say im crazy or mad.
i come out with the weirdest shit sometimes, or in photograohy class ill ask really obscure questions, like what would happen if you drank the developer... i got a few weird looks for that.

everyone is mad to a degree, but the really mad ones are the ones you genrally dont suspect as being insane, i mean actually insane, you know you will joke and say your crazy but when they realise you are, that smile comes right off there faces.

dont worry im not a psychopath, im actually bipolar, im not sure which one because me and my psychiatrist havnt got that far yet, but i belive im a mixed state person.

but as an art/photography student its seen as a pretty good thing to be mad, as they say creativity requires a touch of madness. heheh i actually go to a uni called the arts institute.
would be better as the arts asylum :P

but there are alot of weird and wonderfull people there.
its not like in school where if you showed a slight bit of weirdness you got beat up. mind du im sure a few of the biullies i had at school are now proberly psychopaths.

anyway im ranting now.

Interesting question May. 20th, 2008 @ 07:47 pm
So Kinte asks me an interesting question last night that I thought I'd throw out there for public consumption to see what answers I get back.

The government issues a ban on music and says you can only pick FIVE songs to keep around. The rest of the music and songs in the world will be destroyed so you'll only have the five songs for the rest of your life. What to do you pick?

My answers:

1. Cover Girl by New Kids (I'm STILL getting razzed for this one but there's a really sweet story with it)
2. Hanging By A Moment by Life House
3. Superman by Five For Fighting
4. Bitch by D12
5. Fallen Angel by Poison

Kinte's answers:

There are none - he punked out and couldn't answer. Asshat. That's right. I said it.

Someone mentioned a book - something like "My bipolar road trip in 4D" -- I can't remember the name of the author... does anybody know what I'm talking about?

I think I'll lay low for a while because not a damn soul knew I had this condition in the first place..

» Question on Cutting
Here's a question:

I have a friend whose 15 year old daughter went in the last year from being a pretty normal, well adjusted girl to a girl suffering severe depression. Recently, she's started cutting.

My friend and I were talking because though her daughter is in therapy once a week now and they're dealing with it the best they can, she's really unsure of how to handle the cutting--like what might help her daughter and what might drive her further away.

So I'm asking those of you who cut/used to cut: as a teenager, what could have helped you and what would have been damaging coming from a parent? (And as background, the mom and daughter have a very good relationship).

I told her I never cut so I couldn't really say, but that I would ask around.
